Biography
Fawad Khan is a prominent Pakistani actor, singer, model, and entrepreneur who gained national and international fame from his celebrated television and film career. He came to prominence with the alternative rock band Entity Paradigm; he played the guitar, bass, and drums, and was the lead singer. After completing his A-Levels at Lahore Grammar School and BSc (Honors) at National University of Computer & Emerging Sciences in Computer Science, he shifted from music to acting. He was phenomenal in Humsafar and Zindagi Gulzar Hai, which gained him quite a recognition; his debut Bollywood film Khoobsurat, received him a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut, making him the first Pakistani actor to win this award. Fawad and his wife Sadaf co-founded the women’s clothing line “Silk by Fawad Khan” and released their original collection featuring elegant and simple silk designs blending western and eastern clothing design. At the age of 17, after having an accident, he was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. He has bravely and honestly dealt with the diagnosis throughout his career, and he is an advocate for diabetes awareness and for living well with diabetes.
