Biography
Hassan Niazi is a diverse Pakistani actor and has showcased his acting talent in film and television industry both. He was born in Mianwali, Pakistan on February 19, 1981. Niazi’s father was a retired brigadier, and he is a first cousin of Imran Khan. After completing early education in Pakistan, Hassan chose not to follow his father’s wishes for him to become a lawyer and completed a degree from the University of London; instead, he followed his passion for acting. Hassan made his television debut in 2002. His breakout character roles were in Hum TV’s drama “Ladies Park” (2011), “Bari Aapa” (2012) and “Digest Writer” (2014). Hassan became recognized for other characters in the dramas “Mera Saaein 2”, “Tumhare Siwa”, “Bandi”, and others. Hassan has also appeared as a lead and co-lead actor in a few telefilms. In film industry, Hassan starred in “Waar” (2013), which was a significant landmark for Pakistani cinema. He soon went on to appear in “Bachaana” (2016) and “Yalghaar” (2017) among others. Hassan acted both in television and film simaltaneously. Apart from acting, Hassan Niazi is recognized as some one that voices concerns that reflect Pakistan’s socio-political context. At times, he has found himself a part of some controversies, however, he remarkably remains focused on his work and continues to receive praise for his on-screen performances.
